Monica Witherington is a self-published author of four books for children:
The Colour-Blind Chameleon (a colouring-book, plus story, for the age-group 3-5)
Gabriela, the Garden Angel (ages 4-6)
The Reluctant Shepherd (ages 7-9)
Hi, Mum, Can You Hear Me? (ages 10-12)
Formerly a teacher, she has written stories all her life, and finally saw The Reluctant Shepherd, a Christmas story, in book form, in 2014. Prior to that, she had five stories for adults published in Woman’s Weekly, The Lady and Best magazines. She has won three competition prizes for her short stories for adults, and one for children, while a version of Gabriela the Garden Angel was a runner-up in another competition. Three of her stories were also shortlisted, one in Writers’ Forum and two in Writing Magazine.

Joy Burnett is a well - travelled , independent lady who loves new experiences. Having lived in Oman, Brunei, Abu Dhabi and Spain, she now lives in Northamptonshire, UK with her husband, a dog and four cats. Born in Somerset, she went to school in Farnham and Harrow. Her professional life has included fashion retail management, running playgroups, practicing aromatherapy, reflexology, holistic health care and nutrition. Upon retirement she was inspired to write novels after joining a local writer's group. Entwined is her latest book , an historical fiction, which was published in March this year.
